Dr Samoon reviews status of pending Court, CAT cases of School Education Deptt

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 1: Principal Secretary School Education and Skill Development Departments, Dr Asgar Samoon, today chaired a meeting to review and discuss the status of the pending Court/CAT cases pertaining to the School Education Department.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Law Achal Sethi, Director School Education Jammu, Director School Education Kashmir, Chief Education Officers of both the divisions and other senior officers of the department through video conference.

Threadbare discussions were held on various pending court cases. The Principal Secretary directed the concerned to ensure close coordination at all levels of the department and take necessary steps for speedy disposal of the court cases so that the bottlenecks, if any, can be removed at an earliest. He asked all the Chief Education Officers to prepare district wise list of pending cases and sort out the issues on priority.

The Director of each division presented a detailed report about the pending court/ CAT cases and informed that the department is vigorously pursuing settlement of the cases in coordination with the legal authorities.

Meanwhile, the Principal Secretary directed the concerned officers to ensure cleanliness and sanitization in and around the school premises. He also asked them to prepare list of the teaching and non- teaching staff, who performed their duties regularly during the ongoing Covid-19 and submit the same to the concerned quarters to award the best performer(s).
