Srinagar, Feb 11 : The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has suspended a Junior Assistant for dereliction of duty and non-compliance of official instructions during the ongoing Legislative Assembly discussion on Demand for Grants, officials said on Wednesday.

According to the official order issued by DSEK as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the officer, deployed at the office of Chief Education Officer, Ganderbal, left his post, switched off his mobile phone, and failed to provide the required information. This caused considerable delay in compiling and submitting data to the Administrative Department, which was needed for the smooth functioning of the Legislative Assembly proceedings.
