Kupwara, Nov 2 (GNS): A 55-year-old man is battling for life after being fatally hit by a scooty rider at his native village in Dardpora Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Reports reaching GNS said that one Wali Mohammad Najar, 55, son of Abdul Aziz Najar was hit by a person driving a scooty bearing registration number JK09A 5709. The pedestrian received critical injuries and was removed to SDH Sogam wherefrom he was shifted to District Hospital Handwara and lately referred to SKIMS Soura for preferential treatment.
It has been learnt that the condition of elderly man continues to remain critical – when this report is being filed.
Meanwhile a police official confirming the incident told GNS that they have registered a case into the matter and also seized the two-wheeler from the spot. (GNS)
