Srinagar, Sep 1 (GNS): The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir of Crime Branch J&K has filed a charge-sheet against five persons for preparing fake appointment, transfer and relieving orders in Education Department.
In a handout to GNS, the crime Branch said it filed charge-sheet before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Budgam in FIR No. 36/2021 under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 201 and 120-B RPC against five accused persons.
The accused have been identified as Nisar Ahmad Bhat S/o Gh. Hussan Bhat R/o Iqbal Colony Tral Pulwama, Shakir Gull S/o Sheikh Gul Mohammad R/o Kachdoora Shopian, Mohammad Ayaz Rather S/o Abdul Rehman Rather R/o Takipora P/o Ratnipora Shopian, Sheikh Ruhail Ahmad S/o Sheikh Shafiq Ahmad R/o Kachdoora Shopian and Tanveer Ahmad Rather S/o Ab. Rahman Rather R/o Khudpora Mowgam Anantnag.
The Crime Branch said that the case emanated from a communication received from Director School Education Kashmir revealing that three persons had joined as teachers in Zone Nagam, Charar-i-Sharief District Budgam on the basis of purported transfer/adjustment orders allegedly issued by the Director School Education Kashmir.
Accordingly a probe was ordered and during investigation it revealed that the said orders bore forged signatures, order numbers and dispatch/endorsement numbers.
Further, records obtained from ZEO Nagam and CEO Budgam confirmed that Mohammad Ayaz Rather, Sheikh Ruhail Ahmad and Tanveer Ahmad Rather had been transferred/adjusted on the basis of the questioned documents. Verification from the Directorate further established that its order book had been closed as on 31.12.2019, proving the order and endorsement numbers to be fictitious.
During investigation, it was found that these three accused individuals had never been appointed anywhere in the Education Department. Investigation further revealed that accused Nisar Ahmad Bhat (Teacher) and Shakir Gull acted as facilitators/intermediaries, while Nisar Ahmad Bhat arranged the means and machinery for fabrication and printing of forged official documents.
The allegations were found proved and the charge-sheet was accordingly presented before the Court for judicial determination.
The Crime Branch has advised the public to remain vigilant against such economic frauds and report any suspicious activities to the SSP EOW Kashmir. Victims may also lodge complaints through email at sspeow-kmr@jkpolice.gov.in, it said.(GNS)
