Srinagar, Jul 9: Police on Thursday claimed to have busted a militant hideout besides arresting a militant associate in Doabgah area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources told Kashmir Glory that a joint team of 22 RR, 179 CRPF, SOG and police launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on receipt of credible inputs.
The joint team, they said, busted a hideout at Doabgah, from which it recovered one each of RPG (Rocket-propelled Grenade), UGBL Thrower, Night Vision Apparatus, Ammunition Pouch, Weapon Shilling, 16 UGBL Grenades, 12 rounds of pistol, 56 rounds of AK-47 and two belts.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of law in Police Station Sopore and further investigations taken up in this regard, they further said.
