Demands 24/7 electricity for power consumers
SAMBA: Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh today expressed deep concern over the growing power crises in Jammu plain that has affected the normal life and businesses.
The Former Minister was addressing a worker’s meeting that was organized by SC Provincial President, Jammu, Lovely Mangol in Samba.
The meeting held detailed deliberation regarding the existing political situation and slow pace of development in Samba.
He said that the people in Jammu plains including Jammu, Samba, and Kathua have been facing the harshest winter season that has caused adverse effects on normal life and given rise to diseases.
He said that the people are not getting water supply and the farmers are among the worst sufferers.
“The unscheduled power cuts have become a routine, and the Govt has failed to acquire needed electricity that is required for utilization in Jammu,” he said.
He further said that the Govt should immediately intervene and address the issue of growing power crises in Jammu plains.
Meanwhile, he also expressed concern over growing unemployment among the youth in Samba.
“The youth are not getting jobs in the industrial units even as they have assured the Govt that unemployed youth would be provided employment opportunities in the units,” he said, while demanding reservation of jobs for the unemployed youth in the industrial sector in Samba, Jammu, and Kathua Districts.
