11.32 Grams of Suspected Heroin, ₹22,500 Cash Recovered During Naka Checking in Swankha
Samba, July 19: Police on Sunday arrested two alleged drug peddlers from Srinagar in the Swankha area of Samba district and recovered 11.32 grams of suspected heroin (Chitta) and ₹22,500 in cash from their possession, officials said.
Official sources told news agency SNA that a police party from Police Station Ramgarh apprehended the duo during a naka-checking operation at around 12:30 pm.
The accused have been identified as residents of Dhanwari, Eidgah, and Kargil Colony, Bemina, Srinagar.
Sources said police recovered 11.32 grams of suspected heroin and ₹22,500 in cash from their possession. The cash is suspected to be proceeds from drug trafficking.
Police also seized a commercial vehicle allegedly used for transporting the narcotic substance.
In this connection, FIR No. 46/2026 has been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Police Station Ramgarh, while further investigation is underway.
