Inferno engulfs Khangund forests in Tral

Pulwama, Apr 12: A massive fire engulfed forests of Khanagund area of Tral in south-Kashmir’s Pulwama district Sunday evening.

Reports reaching GNS said that, the locals from Aripal hamlet were alerted after they saw the smoke billowing from the nearby forests, this evening. On visiting the location, the locals witnessed that a major part of the forest including vegetation was already razed to ashes.

The fire, when this report was being filed, is gradually spreading to other parts of the forest. (GNS)
