Rajouri, Mar 5 : A man was killed after a canter bus hit a scooty in Tandwal area of Rajouri district on Thursday, officials said.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Corner—(KNC)that the accident occurred at around this evening when a canter bus bearing registration number JK11-3383 collided with a scooty (JK11D-3817) at Tandwal.

The scooty rider, identified as Vinod Kumar, son of Subash Chander and a resident of Tandwal, sustained critical injuries in the accident and was rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri for treatment.

However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead on arrival, he said.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further investigation is underway.—(KNC)
