Departments to Receive Funds Up to 75% of Approved BE 2026-27 Allocation
Jammu/Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has authorised the release of an additional 25 per cent funds under the Revenue Budget for the financial year 2026-27, taking the cumulative release to 75 per cent of the approved Budget Estimates (BE) 2026-27.
According to an official memorandum issued by the Finance Department on September 22, 2026, the authorisation covers the remaining Detailed Heads of other administrative expenditure in favour of all departments.
The order, issued under O.M. No. FD-BDGT0GEN/21/2021-03-(46316), has been issued in continuation of Government Order No. 149-F of 2026 dated April 1, 2026, and subsequent authorisations of funds.
The Finance Department said the latest authorisation permits the release of a further 25 per cent of funds through BEAMS, aggregating the releases made so far to 75 per cent of the approved BE 2026-27 allocations.
However, the department clarified that the Detailed Heads specifically excluded under Government Order No. 149-F of 2026 shall continue to be considered for authorisation/release on a case-to-case basis.
The Finance Department further directed all departments to utilise the released funds strictly in accordance with the terms and conditions stipulated under the earlier Government Order.
It also stressed strict adherence to austerity and economy measures imposed under Government Order No. 198-F of 2026 dated May 22, 2026.
The latest authorisation has been issued with the approval of the competent authority and communicated to all Administrative Secretaries.
Copies of the memorandum have also been forwarded to the Advocate General, J&K High Court, Financial Commissioners (Additional Chief Secretaries), Director General of Police, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, and Principal Accountant General (A&E), J&K.(KNC)
