Srinagar, August 20 :(KNC)The Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department has ordered the transfer and posting of 35 forest officials, including Range Officers Grade-II and Foresters, with immediate effect.
The order was issued by the Office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force (HoFF), Jammu & Kashmir, vide Forest Order No. 18 of 2026 dated August 20, 2026.
According to the order, the transfers and postings have been made in the interest of administration. The complete list of officials and their new assignments is as follows:

Officials Directed to Join New Posts Immediately
The order states that the arrangements made through these postings shall not confer any right on the incumbents to claim preferential treatment for promotion, as and when promotions are made in accordance with the applicable rules.
The transfers and postings shall also be without prejudice to the outcome of any writ petitions pending before courts of competent jurisdiction.
Officials who have been displaced from their present places of posting and have not been posted elsewhere have been directed to report to their respective Heads of Department, including the PCCF & HoFF, J&K, and the Director, J&K Social Forestry Department, until further orders.
The order further makes it clear that the concerned officers and officials shall be deemed to have been relieved with immediate effect.
The order has been issued with the approval of the Administrative Department and bears the signature of Sarvesh Rai, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and HoFF, Jammu & Kashmir. It also carries the endorsement of the Chief Conservator of Forests, Central.(KNC)
