SRINAGAR, AUGUST 25: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the recall of six JKAS officers from the Union Territory of Ladakh and simultaneously placed the services of 19 officers from the J&K cadre at the disposal of the Ladakh administration on deputation.
The orders were issued by the General Administration Department through Government Order No. 1443-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated August 25, 2026, in the interest of administration.
According to the order, the six officers recalled from Ladakh to Jammu and Kashmir are Mohd. Ismail Ganie, Imtisal Rasool, Sanjit Bhardwaj, Atul Singh Mahakotia, Tufail Iqbal and Waseem Ramzan Dar, all holding Junior Scale JKAS positions.
Following their recall, the services of 19 officers have been placed at the disposal of the Union Territory of Ladakh with immediate effect.
The officers include Raj Kumar Katoch, JKAS, Special Secretary to the Government, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department; Mohd. Latif, JKAS, Special Secretary to the Government, Tribal Affairs Department; Mohd. Jhangir, JKAS, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rajouri; Mohammad Yousf Ganaie, JKAS, DSWO, Srinagar; and Mohd. Rafie, Junior Scale JKAS, Tehsildar, Nagseni.
Others named in the order are Shivam Sharma, Block Development Officer, Panjgrain, Rajouri; Rafaqat Aziz, Functional Manager, DIC, Rajouri; Ayush Sharma, STO, Circle-I, Jammu; Jasif Amin Sheikh, Functional Manager, DIC, Anantnag; Zahoor Ahmad Hadi, Block Development Officer, Bandipora; Yassar Ahmad Bhati, Tehsildar Kreeri; Saqib Sharief Khan, Block Development Officer, Samba; Bhuvnesh Pargal, STO in the office of Additional Commissioner, State Taxes (Administration & Enforcement), Jammu; Deepak Bharti, Tehsildar, Jourian; Arshad Hussain, Block Development Officer, Larnoo; Mohd. Anjum, State Taxes Officer, Circle N, Srinagar; Sadam Hussain, Block Development Officer, Gool, Ramban; Anup Kumar, Block Development Officer, Jakyas, Doda; and Aju Kundal, State Taxes Officer, Circle Kishtwar.
Deputation to Continue for Two Years
The government order stipulates that the deputation of the officers to Ladakh will remain valid for two years or until they are recalled, whichever is earlier.
It further clarifies that the lien and promotion prospects of the officers will remain with the General Administration Department of Jammu and Kashmir.
The deputed officers will also be entitled to avail incentives that may be made available by the Union Territory of Ladakh in due course.
The order further states that the officers shall be deemed to have been relieved with immediate effect and have been directed to report to the General Administration Department of the Union Territory of Ladakh for further posting.
The order has been issued by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, by order of the Lieutenant Governor. The document is dated August 25, 2026.
The order has been circulated to senior government and administrative authorities in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, besides other concerned departments and officers.(KNC)
