Director Finance FCS&CA appointed Inquiry Officer, report sought in 15 days

Srinagar Aug 1 (GNS):The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered a departmental inquiry into alleged embezzlement and misappropriation of foodgrains in the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department in Kupwara.

As per Government Order dated 31-07-2026, a copy which lies with GNS states that sanction has been accorded to appoint the Director Finance, Department of FCS&CA, J&K as the Inquiry Officer to probe the charges levelled against Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Storekeeper, FCS&CA, Kupwara.

Shohaib Latief, JKAS, Assistant Director, FCS&CA, Srinagar North, has been designated as the Presenting Officer in the case.

The order directs the Inquiry Officer to submit conclusive findings within 15 days from the date of issuance.

The inquiry has been initiated to ascertain facts and fix responsibility in connection with the allegations of misappropriation of foodgrains.(GNS)
