Srinagar, Aug 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a fresh administrative reshuffle in the Mining Department and the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
Under Government Order No. 47-JK(MNG) of 2026, the Mining Department has ordered several transfers and postings of District Mineral Officers and other officials with immediate effect.
Javaid Ahmad Malik, JKAS, presently awaiting orders of posting, has been posted as District Mineral Officer, Pulwama.
Kaiser Ahmed Lone, Geologist Grade-III, presently posted in the office of the Joint Director, Geology and Mining, Kashmir, has been posted as District Mineral Officer, Baramulla.
Umar Mustafa Mir, Geologist Grade-III, presently posted in the office of the Joint Director, Geology and Mining, Kashmir, has been posted as District Mineral Officer, Ganderbal, relieving Ghulam Nabi Pintoo, who was holding the additional charge of District Mineral Officer, Bandipora.
Ranjit Singh, Driller, presently posted in the office of the Senior Drilling Engineer, Geology and Mining, Kashmir, has been posted as District Mineral Officer, Budgam.
Mohammad Saleem Dar, I/C Mineral Officer, presently posted as District Mineral Officer, Pulwama, has been transferred to the office of the Joint Director, Geology and Mining, Kashmir.
Zulfikar Mohammad Shafi, Driller, presently posted as District Mineral Officer, Baramulla, has been transferred to the office of the Senior Drilling Engineer, Geology and Mining, Kashmir.

The order further directs Faisal Masood Wani, Driller, presently posted as District Mineral Officer, Anantnag, and Khursheed Ahmad Dar, Chemist, presently posted as District Mineral Officer, Kulgam, to swap their present places of posting.
Separately, the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, through Government Order No. 235-JK(RD&PR) of 2026, ordered transfers and postings of 24 Block Development Officers, look-after BDOs and equivalent officers with immediate effect.
Sushil Singh, presently Block Development Officer, Akhnoor, has been posted as BDO Samwan against an available vacancy.
Maqbool Ahmad, presently BDO (HQ) in the office of ACD Samba, has been posted as BDO Surankote vice Sh. Qadeer Charak.
Devia Nanda, presently Field Officer, Rural Sanitation, in the office of the Deputy Director, Rural Sanitation, Jammu, has been placed at the disposal of the Directorate of Rural Sanitation at Jammu.
Gohar Aarzo Chaand, presently BDO Ganderbal, has been posted as BDO Shopian vice Shakeel Ahmed and may hold charge of BDO Ram Nagri in addition to his own duties.
Fayaz Ahmad Mir, presently BDO Hajin, has been posted as BDO Ganderbal vice Gohar Aarzo Chaand and will also hold additional charge of BDO Safapora.
Shafia Maqbool, presently attached in the office of DRDK, has been posted as BDO (HQ) in the office of DRDK.
Navamani Hans, presently BDO (HQ) in the office of ACD Kulgam, has been placed at the disposal of MD JKRLM for utilisation of her services against the post of SPM (Monitoring & Evaluation).
Mohd Abrar, presently BDO Qila Darhal, has been directed to report to the Administrative Department, while BDO Doongi shall hold the additional charge of BDO Qila Darhal until further orders.
Shameema Bano, presently LA BDO Chadoora, has been directed to report to MD JKRLM to work in the Regional Office in Kashmir. Her salary shall be drawn by DRDK from the overall cadre of BDO/equivalent, while BDO K Pora shall hold additional charge of BDO Chadoora until further orders.
Liyakat Ali, presently LA BDO working in the office of the Director, Rural Sanitation, J&K, has been posted as LA Field Officer, Rural Sanitation, in the office of the Deputy Director, Rural Sanitation.
Yasir Hussain Wani, presently LA BDO Bhaderwah, has been posted as LA BDO Mathwar vice Sh. Ifroz Ahmad.
