Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Hoteliers Club (JKHC) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) extended their heartfelt appreciation to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, for inaugurating a new railway line. This significant infrastructure addition is poised to catalyze economic growth in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly within the tourism sector.

The newly opened railway line promises to revolutionize connectivity in the region, ensuring all-season tourism and facilitating seamless travel for both locals and visitors.

Mushtaq Ahmed Chaya, Chairman of the JKHC, expressed profound gratitude to the honorable Prime Minister for what he termed as a “remarkable gift” to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

“This railway line is a game-changer for our tourism industry,” remarked Chaya. “It will not only enhance accessibility but also open up new opportunities for growth and development.”

Tariq Ghani, President of CCIK, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the historical significance of this moment for the people of Kashmir.

“This railway connectivity is a lifeline for the common man and students who have long endured the challenges posed by inadequate road connectivity,” stated Ghani.

The JKHC reiterated the sentiments of gratitude, stating that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are both humbled and honored by the realization of rail connectivity with other parts of the country. This development is expected to address longstanding infrastructural gaps, further integrating the region into the national economy.

The opening of the railway line reflects the government’s commitment to the holistic development of Jammu and Kashmir, aiming to unlock its true potential and foster inclusive growth. As the region embraces this new era of connectivity, stakeholders anticipate a surge in tourism, trade, and overall socio-economic prosperity.

With enhanced accessibility and improved connectivity, Jammu and Kashmir is poised to emerge as a premier tourist destination, offering unparalleled experiences throughout the year. The JKHC and CCIK expressed optimism for the future, envisioning a thriving economy and a brighter tomorrow for the people of the region
