June 05: Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking and the illegal assets generated through the narcotics trade, J&K Police in Anantnag has attached a double-storied residential house along with a high-density apple orchard belonging to Mohammad Ashraf Dar son of Abdul Rehman Dar resident of Tulkhan under the provisions of Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.

The attached property, with an estimated market value of approximately ₹70 lakh, is suspected to have been acquired from proceeds of illicit drug trafficking. The action has been taken in accordance with the provisions of the NDPS Act to prevent the transfer, sale, disposal, or any other form of alienation of the property pending further legal proceedings. This action underscores the firm commitment of Anantnag Police to combat the menace of drug trafficking by targeting not only the offenders but also the assets generated through illegal activities. By disrupting the financial foundations of the narcotics trade, the police seek to deter criminal involvement and strengthen efforts toward a drug-free society.

Police reiterates its resolve to take stringent legal action against drug peddlers and all those involved in narcotics-related activities. Such measures will continue as part of a comprehensive strategy to dismantle drug networks and safeguard the community from the harmful effects of substance abuse.
