J&K Reports Over 1,000 Covid-19 Cases Again, Tally Crosses 40000 Mark

Srinagar, Sept 04 (GNS): Jammu and Kashmir recorded 1047 cases on Friday, pushing its COVID-19 tally to over 40990.

With 74 travelers among them, 493 cases were reported from Jammu Division and 554 from Kashmir Valley including four minors, a doctor and a pregnant woman, official sources told GNS.

This is for the second consecutive day that J&K reported over a 1000 infections as 1097 cases were reported on Thursday which was the biggest spike recorded in a single day so far.     

Giving district wise, they said, Srinagar reported 175 cases, Baramulla 61, Pulwama 34, Budgam 78, Anantnag 48, Bandipora 34, Kupwara 69, Kulgam 21, Shopian 4, Ganderbal 30, Jammu 322, Rajouri 18, Kathua 40, Udhampur 44, Samba 13, Ramban 6, Doda 7, Poonch       11, Reasi 4 and Kishtwar 28.

A number of cases were confirmed at CD and SKIMS laboratories.

The Anantnag cases include female (52) from Shangus Anantnag while Srinagar ones include two males (48, 42) and two females (42, 24) from Lone Mohalla Hyderpora, male (45) from Shah Wilayat Colony, male (51) from Friends Colony Shalteng, female (18) from Soura, female (24) and male (15) from Hamza Ahmad Nagar, female (50) from Khawaja Bazar, male (35) from Ahmadnagar, male (45) from Habba Kadal, male (39) from Amdakadal, two females (26, 21) from Shalbaf Mohalla Anchar, male (30) from Brain Nishat, male (03) from C/O Skims Soura, four males (52, 10, 31, 45) and three females (62, 07, 37) from Buchpora, female (14) from Sonwar, female (20) from Soura, female (52) from Raziya Kadal, male (38) from Saidakadal, male (50), female (06) and NA (23) from Barzulla, female (60) from Bakura, two males (65, 70) from Eidgah Srinagar.

The Budgam cases include male (40) from Hapatnar, female (22) and male (05) from Yarikalan Chadoora, female (19) from Budgam Main, male (40) from Ap: PHC Ichigam, female (20) from Kulbugh, male (30) from Magarapora Khanda, two males (35, 33) and female (60) from Wahabpora, male (40) female Branwar Budgam, male (42) from Wahapora Budgam.

The Pulwama cases include four males (25, 28, 34, 43) from Awantipora Pulwama.

The Ganderbal cases include two males (20, 57) from Ganderbal.

The Baramulla cases include male (50) from Baramulla.

The Kupwara cases include two males (25, 33) from Nyr Dist Kup, two males (55, 18) from Kandi, male (30) from Bahaderkote, two males (70, 56) from Doorusa Lolab, male (NA) from Kuthwa, female (40) from Dringla, male (18) from Kandi, male (47) from Nachiyan Kupwara.

The BSF cases include male (30) from Ch BSF Humhama.

Meanwhile, they said, 676 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 131 from Jammu Division and 545 from Kashmir Valley. (GNS)
