Banihal, Oct 13: A pedestrian died after being hit by an auto-rickshaw near Krawah Bridge in Banihal on Tuesday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the pedestrian was hit by an auto-rickshaw travelling from the Railway Station towards the Main Market.
He said the injured man was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal for initial treatment and later referred to GMC Anantnag, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased was identified as Haleem Ahmed, a resident of Gujjarnar Lamber, Banihal.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.—(KNO)
