KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown In Multiple Areas of Kashmir

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 03: Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL has informed that the Shutdown of 33 kV Zakura Bay will be observed due to which power supply to Kashmir University, Nageen, Kanitar, NIT, Hazratbal, Umer colony, Rangpora, BARC, Habak Inderhama, Burzhama, Danihama, Rahbagh, Gasoo and adjoining areas will be affected from 09 AM to 02 PM on 07 & 11 October 2026.
Similarly, shutdown of 220 KV Wagoora-Zainakote Circuit-I will be observed due to which power supply to Char-i-Sharief, Chadoora, Nagam, Panzan, Wathoora, Bugam, Hafroo, Hayatpora, Yousmarg, Gogjipathri, Ranger, Sogam, Badipora, Lalgam, Gudsathoo, Budgam, Ichgam, Choon, Kremshore, Khan Sahib, Brenwar, Kanir, Barwah, Hanjoora, SIDCO, Ompora, NIFT, Railway Station Budgam, Nasrullahpora, Sholipora, Watrihail, Charangam, Sebdan, Brinjin, Raithan, Surasyar, Kralwari, Dadaompora, Zoohama, and adjoining areas will be affected from 09 AM to 02:30 PM on 10 October 2026.
Likewise, shutdown of 132 KV Zainakote-Wanganpora Transmission line Circuit-I and 132 KV Zainakote-Wanganpora Transmission line Circuit-II will be observed due to which power supply to Kawdara, Khanyar, Safakadal, SH Pora, Soura, Takanwari and adjoining areas (on rotational basis) will be affected from 08 AM to 02 PM on 12 & 17 October 2026.
Likewise shutdown of 132/33 KV Grid Station Wanganpora and 100 MVA, 132/33 kV GIS Khanyar will be observed due to which power supply to Kawdara, Khanyar, Safakadal, SH Pora, Soura, Takanwari, Bagh-i-Ali Mardan Khan, Kathidarwaza and adjoining areas will be affected from 08 AM to 02 PM on 22 October 2026.
Similarly, shutdown of 132/33KV Grid Station Kangan will be observed due to which power supply to Kangan, Surfraw, Wusan, Gagangeer along with Z-Morh Tunnel and adjoining areas will be affected from 08 AM to 02 PM on 10 October 2026.
Further shutdown of 33 kV Bemina-Fateh Kadal line will be observed due to which power supply to K.K. Mohalla, Nowpora, Bohrikadal, BB Shah, Babademb, Bishembarnagar, Gousia Hospital and adjoining areas will be affected from 08 AM to 02 PM on 06 & 10 October 2026.
Also shutdown of 33 kV Bemina-Fatehkadal line will be observed due to which power supply to Naisarak, Barbarshah, Exchange, Basantbagh, Car Parking, Maisuma and adjoining areas will be affected from 08 AM to 02 PM on 06 & 10 October 2026.
Similarly, shutdown of Wanbal Receiving Station will be observed due to which power supply to Malik Bagh and Gulzarpora will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 05, 07 & 10 October 2026.
Likewise, shutdown of Bagh-e-Mehtab Receiving Station will be observed due to which power supply to Kralpora will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 05 October 2026
