Srinagar, Aug 20: The Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department (PDD) has ordered the transfer and posting of 48 engineers across various divisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Power Corporation Limited (KPDCL) and Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL), with several changes also effected in Kupwara district.
As per Government Order No. 181-JK(PDD) of 2026, the transfers have been ordered in the interest of administration and the smooth functioning of official work.
In Kupwara, Abdul Hamid Ganai, In-charge Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), presently posted at SD-Kupwara, ED-Kupwara, KPDCL, has been transferred to SD-Trehgam, ED-Kupwara, KPDCL, while Sajid Iqbal Mir, I/c AEE, SD-Trehgam, ED-Kupwara, has been posted to SD-Kupwara, ED-Kupwara, vice Abdul Hamid Ganai.
Mohd Ashraf Awan, I/c AEE, presently posted at SD-Tangdhar, ED-Kupwara, KPDCL, has been transferred as T.O. to the Superintending Engineer, Circle-I, KPDCL, against an available vacancy.
Khurshid Ahmad Bhat, I/c AEE, presently posted at SD-Langate, ED-Handwara, KPDCL, has been transferred to SD-Streetlight, ED-II, KPDCL, against an available vacancy.
The order also includes postings and transfers of engineers in other parts of Kashmir and Jammu divisions. Among the other changes, Mohammad Rafiq Rather, I/c AEE, has been posted as T.O. to the Executive Engineer, ED-III, KPDCL, Srinagar, while Farooq Ahmad Mir, I/c AEE, SD-Anantnag, has been posted as EPD-T.O. to the Executive Engineer, ED-Kulgam, KPDCL.
