Uri, May 27: The Tehsil Legal Services Authority (TLSA) Uri on Tuesday organised a legal awareness programme for the victims of cross-border shelling. The event was held at the Higher Secondary School in Sultandaki, Uri.
Several advocates spoke on the occasion, shedding light on the legal rights of individuals affected by shelling and how they can access justice through proper legal channels.
Approximately 300 residents from villages including Dachi, Kamalkote, Sultandaki, Salambad, and Basgran participated in the programme.
Present at the event were Chairman of the Legal Services Authority Uri Mohammad Anwar Alnasar, Tehsildar Uri, Ashiq Hussain, DSP Uri Tariq Ahmad, SHO Uri, Mudasir Ahmad, BDO Paranpillan, Assistant Public Prosecutor Yasir Arfat, Major from 8 RR Army, Vice President of the Bar Association Uri Mumtaz Ahmad Beigh, Secretary Ashaq Rasool Mir, Advocate Aziz Akber, Advocate Hussain Ahmad Khan, along with other members of the Bar Association.
