Anantnag, September 25: A minor girl sustained serious injuries after being attacked by a leopard near her residence in the Hayar area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday evening.
According to police, the girl, aged around 10–11 years, was attacked by the leopard in the vicinity of her home, leaving her injured.
She was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bijbehara, where she received initial medical treatment. In view of the nature of her injuries, doctors subsequently referred her to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for specialised treatment.
