Kupwara, Jul 8: Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha on Wednesday ee-inaugurated four Kushturba Gandhi Bailka Vidyaliya centres in as many areas across this north Kashmir district.
On the eve, Sinha expressed his happiness for making the centres accessible to the students in the frontier district and in the meantime exhorted those participating in the event to study with dedication to secure for themselves a bright and prosperous future. The Governor also interacted with the CEO Kupwara Abdul Hamid Fani on the occasion.
Besides CEO Kupwara, Zonal Education officer Khumriyal Farooq Ahmad, BDC Rafiq Ahmad Kataria, Warden and other dignitaries also remained present throughout the inaugural session.
Talking with the media on the sidelines of the occasion, CEO Kupwara Ab Hamid Fani said that the Honorable Lieutenant Governor Minoj Sinha has e-inaugurated four KGBV’s in Kupwara. The four KGBV’s which were operated, as per Fani included one each in Langate, Kasheerah, Ramhall Hafrada and in Kuligam Lolab.
The KGBV centre inaugurated at Kuligam has a capacity of hundred beds and another centre at the location has a capacity of fifty beds, he said.
“Our first priority is for poor, needy, destitute and orphaned students who would be admitted at the centres’, and if required other students may also be allowed to take admission”, Fani said.
The centres would be available to all including those from Machil, Keran, Keran and other areas, and the aspiring students from these areas can come and take education without any hesitation, he further said.
