Srinagar, Apr 4 : The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has placed an IPS officer under suspension pending enquiry into alleged misappropriation of GP funds and income tax deductions of police personnel, officials said.
According to the order issued by the home department a copy of which lies with news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC reads, Pending enquiry in the matter of misappropriation of GP funds and income tax deductions of police personnel of JKAP-4 Security Battalion, Shri Sanjeev Kumar Khajuria, IPS (the then Commandant JKAP-4 Security Battalion), Commandant 1 Border Battalion, Jammu, is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect.
Order further reads that, “During his suspension period, the officer shall remain attached with Police Headquarters, J&K.” (KNC)
