Ganderbal, July 2nd : A 35-year-old woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her residence in the Waliwar area of Ganderbal district on Wednesday, officials said.
According to officials, the woman was found hanging inside her house. Police rushed to the scene after receiving information and shifted the body to a hospital for post-mortem and other medico-legal formalities.
The incident took a serious turn when the deceased’s son alleged that his father had killed his mother. Following the allegation, police registered a case and started a detailed investigation.
Officials said the actual cause of the woman’s death will be established only after the post-mortem report and completion of the investigation. Police have urged people not to spread rumours or speculate about the case until the probe is concluded.
