Major Reshuffle in Ladakh Administration; JKAS Officers Transferred, Given Additional Charges

J&K, Ladakh likely to face 14% power crunch this August

Leh : The Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh on Monday ordered a fresh round of transfers, postings and assignment of additional charges among JKAS officers in the interest of administration.

According to an official order, issued in partial modification to an earlier order dated February 28 as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, , several officers have been reshuffled across key positions, with new postings and additional responsibilities assigned until further orders.

Under the order, a Tehsildar has been transferred and posted as Block Development Officer Leh with additional charge of District Panchayat Officer Leh, while another officer has been posted as Tehsildar Durbuk with additional charge of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Durbuk. An officer serving as Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nubra has also been assigned the additional charge of Tehsildar Diskit.

Meanwhile, an officer holding the post of Block Development Officer Leh with additional charge of District Panchayat Officer Leh has been transferred and posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the office of the Chief Secretary, UT of Ladakh.

The order further stated that the earlier posting order of an officer as OSD in the Chief Secretary’s office has been withdrawn. The directives have been issued by the General Administration Department and take effect immediately. (KNC)
