Srinagar, Mar 18 : In what is termed as a major security breach, a pistol-borne woman managed her entry in compound area of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi temple in Katra.
Divulging details, an official told news agency Kashmir Bulletin that in a major security lapse, a woman identified as one Jyoti Gupta, who has been working in Delhi Police, managed her entry along the weapon on intervening March 14 and 15 night.
“Her weapon license had expired few years before, and carrying the weapon is altogether a different degree of breach,” said the official.
Informing that the woman has been apprehended by Reasi Police, and her weapon seized, the official further said that an FIR has been registered under Arms Act in Katra, for further investigations and proceedings thereof. (KB)
