Rajouri, May 7: (GNS) A minor girl was killed even as an elderly woman having sustained injured in a lightning incident in Gambhir Ki Gali in Rajouri on Friday afternoon.
Reports reaching Srinagar-based news agency Global News Service (GNS) said that the incident occurred at around 3 PM while the two were going to Dokas (mud-sheds) with their livestock in Gabbar area of Kotranka in Budhal tehsil.
The deceased minor has been identified as 11-year-old Musarat Naz daughter of Mohammad Aslam, who died instantly, and the injured as 50-year-old Peeri Begum wife of Ghulam Qadir – both residents of Targian Lehati.
No loss to property was however reported in the incident.
Meanwhile SHO Budhal Mushtaq Ahmad confirming the incident to GNS said that a case is being registered in this regard. (GNS)
