Mother of Prominent Businessman Tariq Majnoon Mir Passes Away After Prolonged Illness

Lolab (Kupwara): The mother of well-known businessman Tariq Majnoon Mir passed away on Saturday at Noora Hospital Srinagar following a prolonged period of illness. She was 60.

Her death has plunged Wavoora and its adjoining areas into deep sorrow, with residents recalling her as a dignified, soft-spoken, and compassionate woman who was respected by everyone who knew her. Community members said her humility and warmth made her a central figure in local social circles.

Soon after the news of her demise spread, people from various walks of life, including political leaders, civil society members, traders, neighbours, and community elders, visited the family residence or conveyed their condolences, expressing solidarity with the bereaved Mir family, especially with Tariq Majnoon Mir and Farooq Ahmad Mir, in this difficult time.

Family sources said the schedule for the funeral prayers will be announced later.
