Srinagar, April 1 (GNS): National Conference, PDP and Congress on Thursday condemned the killing of a policeman Rameez Raja in an attack on BJP leader’s house in the outskirts of Srinagar and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family in their hour of grief.
NC Party Vice President Omar Abdullah prayed for peace to the soul of the deceased and expressed unison with the bereaved family on their irreparable loss. He also prayed for the fast recuperation of the injured.
Meanwhile party general secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani, Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar have also condemned the incident and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Mehbooba Mufti, PDP president and former chief minister of erstwhile J&K while condemning the attack said that violence was no solution to any issued. She was speaking to the reporters after holding a party meeting here.
The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) also strongly condemned the killing and described the incident as cowardice and shameful act.
The party also expressed serious concern over the frequent militant attacks in Kashmir and emphasized the Govt to take more effective measures to contain such “mindless attacks” to ensure that there is no further loss of life.
