One shop sealed, Rs 1550 fine recovered

Uri, Jan 16:(GNS) The administration in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday conducted a market checking after the complaints of profiteering and black marketing by business establishments operating in the tehsil.
According to GNS reports, the checking squad sealed a Kiryana shop for violating the rate list norms and also recovered a fine of Rs 1550 from ten shopkeepers.
The team was headed by SDM Uri Reyaz Ahmad Malik who was flanked with SDPO Uri Junaid Wali, Naib tehsildar Uri Mushtaq Ahmad Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO) Uri Ab Majeed Dar and the employees of Municipal Committee Uri.
Besides the shops, several hotels were also checked by the officials.
The SDM Uri warned all business establishments against overpricing of commodities otherwise a strict action will be taken (GNS)
