Baramulla, Jan 16 (GNS): Amid time to time statements into improvement of health care facilities by relevant authorities, a Primary Health Centre in Yadipora, Pattan however continues to remain in shambles, much to the dismay of local residents.
A local delegation of the area told GNS that the Primary Health Centre has developed cracks even with no other substantial facilities to cater the patient flow.
“The indifferent attitude of Health Department amid dilapidated conditions of the health facility besides being appraised on several occasions is putting the patients, attendants, doctors and other medical staff at a grave risk”, they said.
The delegation members also castigated the local political leaders for failing them in receiving basic health facilities.
When contacted a top-health official told Global News Service that the Yadipora Health centre has been functioning from a rented building, adding that “a plan has been formulated to construct a new building in the ongoing year only.”
Meanwhile, the locals have sought intervention from Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Director Health J&K for an early redressal of the issue as to mitigate the sufferings of common people. (GNS)
