October 26: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, police have arrested a drug peddler in Kulgam and recovered approximately 111 grams of Charas-like substance during a dynamic naka at Katran, Mir Bazar.
During the dynamic naka checking, a police party searched a person and recovered approximately 111 grams of Charas from a polythene bag in his possession. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 261/2026 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Qazigund, and further investigation has been initiated.
Police reiterates its commitment to combating the drug menace and appeals to the public to cooperate with the police in identifying and preventing drug-related activities to ensure a drug-free society.
