November 05: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking, Police in Pulwama arrested a suspected drug peddler during naka checking at Tenghar, Pulwama, and recovered a contraband substance resembling Charas from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Ashiq Ahmad Dar son of Ab Majeed Dar resident of Tenghar, Pulwama. He was apprehended on the spot and taken into custody.
Accordingly, case FIR No. 227/2026 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pulwama, and further investigation has been initiated.
Police reiterates its commitment to combating drug trafficking and urges the public to share credible information regarding drug-related activities in their areas. Strict legal action shall be taken against those found involved in such offences.
