November 11: In continuation of its relentless drive against drug peddling, Police in Pulwama arrested a drug peddler along with contraband substance during a patrolling at Karewa Hasti Khud, Zadoora.
The drug peddler was nabbed while he was travelling from Zadoora towards Chadoora–Newa. He has been identified as Javid Ahmad Shergojri son of Ab Salam Shergojri resident of Zadoora, Pulwama. During search, 16.940 grams of poppy straw-like substance was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 267/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pulwama and investigation has been initiated.
J&K Police reaffirm their firm resolve to eradicate the drug menace from society and appeal to the public to cooperate by sharing any information related to drug trafficking or its facilitators.
