Srinagar, July 27(GNS): Continuing its crackdown on narcotics under the Nasha Mukti Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Srinagar Police on Sunday attached immovable properties worth approximately ₹5.60 crore under Section 68F of the NDPS Act, 1985.

In a handout to GNS, the police said that the move is aimed at dismantling the financial network of drug traffickers by seizing assets allegedly acquired through proceeds of illicit drug trade.

Police attached seven immovable properties in Chanapora jurisdiction. These include property worth ₹65 lakh belonging to Mohd Yaseen Rather S/o Abdul Salam Rather, R/o Chanapora, linked to FIR No. 42/2023 U/S 8/21, 22 NDPS Act. Property worth ₹60 lakh belonging to Suhail Rashid Haroon S/o Abdul Rashid Haroon, R/o Lane-I, Gousia Colony, Lal Nagar, linked to FIR No. 41/2025 U/S 8/22, 29 NDPS Act. Property worth ₹75 lakh belonging to Mohd Asif Rather S/o Abdul Rahman Rather, R/o Bagh-i-Mehtab, linked to FIR No. 35/2026 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act.

Also attached was property worth ₹35 lakh belonging to Arsalan Syed Beigh S/o Syed Ahmad Beigh, R/o Azad Basti, Natipora, linked to FIR No. 28/2026 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act. Property worth ₹1 crore belonging to Hilal Ahmad Parray S/o Mohd Ismail Parray, R/o Budshah Nagar, Natipora, linked to FIR No. 23/2026 U/S 8/21, 29 NDPS Act. Property worth ₹75 lakh belonging to Danish Reyaz Shah S/o Reyaz Ahmad Shah, R/o Sanat Nagar, linked to FIR No. 21/2025 U/S 8/22, 29 NDPS Act. And property worth ₹70 lakh belonging to Saqib Naseer Beigh S/o Naseer Ahmad Beigh, R/o Baramulla, A/P Natipora, linked to FIR No. 45/2025 U/S 8/21, 29 NDPS Act.

Police Station Saddar attached a residential house worth approximately ₹80 lakh belonging to Shaheem Farooq Bhat S/o Farooq Ahmad Bhat, R/o SD Colony, Natipora. The property was attached in connection with FIR No. 08/2026 U/S 8/21, 29 NDPS Act.

Police said all the attached properties have been identified as illegally acquired assets generated from drug trafficking. The attachments have been carried out in accordance with NDPS Act provisions and are subject to confirmation by the Competent Authority wherever applicable.

“Srinagar Police remains unwavering in its resolve to dismantle the financial backbone of drug trafficking syndicates. By depriving drug peddlers of unlawfully acquired wealth, we aim to disrupt the economic networks sustaining the drug menace and send a strong message that crime will not pay,” a police spokesperson said.

Police reiterated their commitment to making society drug-free and appealed to the public to share information regarding drug trafficking. All inputs, police said, will be treated with utmost confidentiality, reads the statement.(GNS)
