Uri (Baramulla), Mar 20: Police in frontier town Uri of north-Kashmir’s Baramulla district carried a plantation drive under ‘Sabz-o-Shadab’ initiative here on Saurday.
The drive under the supervision SDPO Junaid Wali saw the police official planting dozens of tree saplings at Officers Club and Higher Secondary School Uri is a bid to protect the environment and spread greens in valley.
“The plantation drive will continue in future and several other parts of Uri town will be covered accordingly”, SDPO Uri on the occasion said.
The official has also exhorted people to take utmost care of surroundings and plant trees to make atmosphere neat and clean for coming generations. (Kashmir Glory News)
