If there is heaven on earth , it’s here,it’s here,it’s here” said Mughal Emperor Jehangir. These words were for Kashmir when he visited India in the 17th century. Who won’t like to visit a place who’s beauty is well known to the entire world. Everyone, isn’t it?
But what happens when the National Media of our own country raises questions against the safety of Kashmir. This was a question asked by a freelance journalist who was born and brought up there.
Suhail Yousuf Shah, 26 year youngster born in Kashmir is a freelance journalist. Being a journalist he believes in the principle of honesty. He says it’s the duty of a journalist to let people know the truth behind everything as we are the sources through which their opinions are formed on topics of national interests.
He feels disheartened to see how national media for their personal interests is harming the image of a particular part of our country. It may be for raising TRP of their channel or due to any external factors. That is a kind of treachery to the profession and to oneself.
They put forward the image of Kashmir as a violent place with no peace and harmony. But that’s absolutely wrong. Kashmir is a beautiful place where people with pure souls live. They welcome everyone with open hands. Kashmir is just like any other place in our country. There is no factor . And casualties can happen in any part of the world.
One should surely visit the place which looks like paradise and live a few days in the beauty of Kashmir and enjoy the culture it beholds.
