Railways ‘Pentagon’ Building Catches Fire In Budgam

Srinagar, March 23 (GNS): Fire erupted in ‘Pentagon’ building of railways in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday.

Official sources told GNS that soon after the fire was reported, fire tenders rushed to douse off the flames.

After putting best efforts, the fire and emergency department brought the blaze under control in the single-storey building which is pentagonal in shape and hence the name. It houses the office of the railways and there was damage to the records, they said. There were no immediate however about the reasons behind the fire, they added. (GNS)
