Srinagar, April 14 (GNS): Police recovered body of a fruit dealer under mysterious circumstances in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.
Reports reaching GNS said that the locals found the body of a man lying near a stream in Aherbal area of the district this morning. The locals informed the police who reached the spot and took the body into custody.
The slain man has been identified as Mohammad Maqbool Lone of Landoora village of Shopian.
A police official told GNS that police was ascertaining the cause of death.
“A case under 174 CrPc has been registered in this connection. Investigations are under way and all angles being looked into,” the officer said. (GNS)
