Sneak-peek: Not On Field, But Off Field Star Pakistan All-rounder Shoaib Malik Completes Hattrick of Marriages; Sania Mirza’s Father Reacts

Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik tied the knot for the third time with Pakistani actor Sana Javed. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Shoaib and Sana Javed posted their pictures. Shoaib was earlier married to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza.

In the photos, the duo smiled and held each other as they posed for the camera. For their special day, he wore a beige sherwani while she was seen in a traditional outfit. They captioned the joint post, “Alhamdullilah (red heart emoji). ‘And We created you in pairs’.”

Who is Sana?

Sana Javed is a Pakistani actor who appears in Urdu television. She made her debut in 2012 with Shehr-e-Zaat and later on, appeared in several serials. She received recognition after portraying the titular role in the romantic drama Khaani, for which she received a nomination at the Lux Style Awards. She gained praise for her social dramas Ruswai and Dunk.

Sana was earlier married to Umair Jaswal

She tied the knot with Pakistani actor and singer-songwriter Umair Jaswal in 2020 in an intimate nikah ceremony. As per Siasat.com, they started living separately soon after. Sana and Umair also removed their pictures from social media platforms as well.

1. Shoaib Malik and Ayesha Siddiqui (2002 to 2010)
   Just before Shoaib Malik got married to Sania Mirza in 2010, a woman named Ayesha Siddiqui from Hyderabad, India claimed that she had been married to the Pakistani cricketer since 2002, and this had created a huge controversy back then. While Shoaib had denied the allegations, Ayesha Siddiqui filed a complaint against him with the police for cheating on her. Ayesha, who is also known as Maha Siddiqui and was a teacher by profession, had shown video clips of her marriage to Shoaib as proof.
   And thus, just days before Shoaib’s marriage to Sania he divorced Ayesha in April 2010. As per reports, over 10 people helped as mediators between Ayesha and Shoaib to settle the divorce, and she was also given an alimony of INR 15 crores.
2. Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza (2010 to 2024)
   On April 12, 2010, Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza got married in a traditional Hyderabadi Muslim ceremony at Hyderabad’s Taj Krishna Hotel. It was followed by a Walima ceremony in Sialkot, Pakistan. The cross-border love story which culminated in a high-profile wedding was much in the news back then. Eight years later, the couple was blessed with a son named Izhaan Mirza Malik in 2018. However, a few years after their wedding, with both Sania and Shoaib living separately– rumours were rife that things weren’t good in their marriage. There were also rumours of Shoaib dating Pakistani actress Sana Javed in 2023. They intensified more when Shoaib wished Sana on her birthday on social media. Shoaib and Sania also removed their pictures together from their respective social media profiles and even changed their bio.
   Earlier Shoaib’s Instagram bio read: “Husband to a superwoman Sania Mirza” which was changed to “Father to One True Blessing.” But the rumours soon died when Shoaib and Sania hosted their son’s birthday in Dubai together and later also hosted a TV show called ‘Mirza-Malik’ from Dubai.
   However, as per latest reports, Sania Mirza and Shoaib are now divorced. A report by PTI reads, ‘Sania Mirza’s father Imran Mirza told PTI that “it was a ‘Khula””, which refers to the right of a Muslim woman to unilaterally divorce her husband’.
