Srinagar Police arrests 17 persons for violating Govt Orders

J&K Police In Shopian Attach Residential House Acquired Through Proceeds Of Drug Trafficking

Srinagar, April 06 (GNS):  Acting tough against the violators of Govt. prohibitory orders, Srinagar Police have arrested 17 persons including a shopkeeper and also seized 09 vehicles for defying the restrictions imposed in view of Covid-19.

In the jurisdiction of PS Nishat and PS Harwan, Police have arrested 03 persons including a shopkeeper and seized one vehicle for violating Govt prohibitory orders. Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in respective police stations and investigation has been initiated.

In the jurisdiction of PS RM Bagh and PS Nowgam, Police have arrested 09 persons and also seized 08 vehicles for violating Govt prohibitory orders issued u/s 144 CrPC by District Magistrate Srinagar. Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in respective police stations and further investigation has been initiated.

While in the jurisdiction of PS Khanyar, Police have arrested 05 persons for violating Govt. prohibitory orders issued u/s 144 CrPC by District Magistrate Srinagar. Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in PS Khanyar and further investigation has been initiated.

Srinagar Police have once again requested the general public to follow the restrictions imposed by Government in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and those who are violating the restrictions will be dealt with strictly. (GNS)
