Teenage Girl Dies After Hit By Dumper in Kathua

Srinagar, Mar 08 : An 18-year-old girl died after being hit by a dumper in Kathua, officials said.

They told news agency Kashmir Bulletin that one Sarika, a resident of Nihalpur Kathua, was fatally hit by a fast moving dumper near Palli Morh.

“The girl was shifted to GMC Kathua under serious conditions, and later on succumbed to her injuries,” they said.

A police official confirming the incident, told Kashmir Bulletin that they have registered a case for necessary investigations.

Meanwhile, the locals in the area have blocked the highway, demanding a strict action against the erring driver even as seeking from authorities stringent measures to avoid any such incident in future. (KB)
