Rajouri, Sep 13 (GNS): In a tragic incident, two minor real sisters died due to suspected snake bite last night in Manma Barmari village of Kalakote sub-division in Rajouri district.
Sources told GNS that the deceased have been identified as Amiba (5) and Amiza (3). They were sleeping inside a room along with other family members when a snake appeared on the bed and bit both of them.
The family members noticed the snake and raised an alarm, but both sisters had already been bitten. They were immediately rushed for medical help, however both died.
The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the entire village, with locals demanding preventive measures and medical facilities to deal with such incidents.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident.(GNS)
