Ramban, Sep 23 (GNS): Two police personnel were found dead inside a vehicle at Ziarat Morh in Ramban district on Tuesday evening, officials said.
Officials told GNS that at around 8:30 PM, two policemen were found unconscious inside a Fiat car bearing registration number JK-19/5299 at Ziarat Morh.
Local residents shifted them to District Hospital Ramban, where doctors declared them brought dead.
The deceased have been identified as Head Constable Farid Ahmed (No. 408/Rbn), resident of Bhatti, Ramban and SgCt Mohammad Yaqoob (No. 309/Rbn), resident of Jatgali, Ramban. Both were posted at District Police Lines (DPL), Ramban.
SSP Ramban Arun Gupta and Medical Superintendent of the hospital reached the hospital after the incident.
Bodies have been kept at District Hospital Ramban for medico-legal formalities.
Police have initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances leading to the deaths. The exact cause of death is not known yet. (GNS)
