CCTV footage surfaces; police reach spot, probe underway
Srinagar, Aug 31 An under-construction house collapsed onto a road while being jacked up for height enhancement in the Saderbal area of Hazratbal in Srinagar on Monday night, officials said.
They said the structure collapsed during the jacking-up process, causing debris to fall onto the road and partially disrupting vehicular movement in the area.
“No casualties or injuries have been reported in the incident. The owner of the house resides at a separate location,” an official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
Meanwhile, CCTV footage capturing the incident has surfaced, showing the structure collapsing onto the road.
Police reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident. The official urged people not to panic, saying necessary measures were being taken at the site.—(KNO)
