Uri, Sep 18 (GNS): The Sub Divisional Magistrate Uri has ordered temporary closure of Uri National Highway on September 20 for hill-cutting work.
As per an order issued by SDM Uri, permission has been accorded for temporary closure of the highway on 20-09-2026 (Sunday) on the basis of request received from Officer Commanding, 53 RCC (GREF).
The general public, commuters and transport operators have been advised to use alternative route via Bandi-Paranpilan-Dachi during the period of closure.
The executing agency shall ensure that the road is reopened for vehicular movement immediately upon completion of the hill work, subject to obtaining necessary safety clearance of the site and ensuring safety of commuters, the order reads.(GNS)
