Kulgam, Sept 9: A youth was seriously injured after a fight broke out during a volleyball match in Qaimoh area of South Kashmirs Kulgam district on Wednesday evening.
According to preliminary reports, an altercation broke out during the match, following which the youth was allegedly assaulted with a knife and sticks.
The injured youth was initially shifted to Sub-District Hospital Qaimoh for treatment. Doctors later referred him to Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag, for further treatment.
A police officer confirmed that an FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation has been taken up.(KNC)
