Baramulla, Aug 19: A woman died after being hit by an Alto car in Sopore on Wednesday morning.
The woman sustained injuries in the accident and was shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment. However, she succumbed to her injuries despite efforts to save her.
The deceased was identified as Azi Begum, a resident of Ningli, Sopore.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and arrested the driver, seizing the vehicle involved in the accident. [KNT]
