Srinagar, Aug 28: An unidentified woman was retrieved from the River Jhelum near Nawa Kadal area of Srinagar on Friday.
She was subsequently shifted to a hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.
Her identity and the circumstances leading to her death were not immediately known.
The body has been kept for identification and further legal formalities, while proceedings into the incident have been initiated. [KNT]
